Assume that you have a friend named "John Doe" using our innovative spam control system FIGTSPAMtm. You have never sent him an email before, but you know that his email address is sample@suncoastsecure.com. You also know that he lives in Cleveland, works at North Airlines, and his phone number is 1-865-864-5300. Now, please send an email to sample@suncoastsecure.com from your current email address. Since your email is not in John's approved list of senders, your test message will not be delivered to him. You will very quickly receive an email back with instructions to access a special page with John's defined personal questions. Once you access this special page with John's defined personal questions, please correctly answer any one of them with the information provided above. After entering a correct response, a Passcode, also pre-defined by John, will be shown to you. Once you have the Passcode, please send another email to John, this time including the Passcode anywhere in the Subject line or at the beginning of the message, and this time your email will be delivered. Our servers will send you a confirmation email, indicating that the message has been delivered to John, and that your email address was added to John's list of Approved Senders. Now, you can write to John whenever you wish to, and your emails will go directly to his inbox. On his side, John can add, update, or remove Personal Questions, Approved Senders, and change his Passcode whenever he desires. John can also define up to 20 personal questions with one or multiple answers. Play the spammer. In the test above, you played the role of someone who knows John. Now, you will play the role of a spammer who does not actually know anything about John except his email address and wants to send some garbage. Considerations: Most spammers fake the "From" email address to avoid receiving error messages, so as a result they will not receive back the instructions on how to access John's defined questions either. They also use automatic servers to send the same message millions of times, so it would be most unlikely that they would be answering questions or reading instructions. Regardless of the foregoing, even if they receive the instructions and access the page with John's questions they will not know the correct answers. Now, let's perform a second test. Please access John's defined questions page again, and this time enter incorrect answers two more times. After three tries (regardless of the result), the screen is disabled until the next day for that person/computer, in order to protect John from automatic-answering attacks. Finally, after the screen is disabled, our system will give you the opportunity to send a message to John through a web page. This screen is also disabled until the next day for that person/computer after the first message has been sent. John also has also the option to disable this contact-me web form completely. John can also define Alias email accounts, which are forwarded to his real email address. These Alias accounts allow him to receive but not send email.
