Today, the Internet is actually one of the safest ways of doing business. Using tools like SSL encryption, it is safer to use your credit card on-line than it is to use it in more traditional ways such as in retail stores or restaurants.

We use the third-party site Paypal to process debit and credit card payments. The card number is provided directly to Paypal. To protect your privacy, we do not store or know your credit card number. We only receive the notification from Paypal that your payment has been made, and Paypal transfers the amount from your account to our account. Paypal is a very well known and respected payment processor in the world. Please note that since Paypal is a third-party service provider, its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are different from ours. Please read both before making your payments.

If you feel uncomfortable providing your credit card on-line, we also accept personal checks or money orders drafted in US dollars. Please read our FAQ page for our mailing address.

We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for mutual authentication, data encryption, and data integrity to ensure secure transactions for our customers. SSL is the industry standard security protocol to encode sensitive information such as your credit card number or your password. SSL creates a shared digital key that only lets the sender and the receiver of the transmission scramble or unscrambles the information. To everyone else, even the servers relaying the message, the SSL transmission is indecipherable. Intercepting the encrypted message, recording it, and using a computer to try every possible combination until the key is cracked is the only way that a SSL encryption can be broken. Most keys range from 40 to 1,024 digits long so that the number of possible combinations can be into the billions and beyond.

Before sending any personal information in a Internet Page, you should make sure it is a secure site. Being on a secure site means that the page will send your information using SSL encryption that can only be decrypted by the destination server. You can determine if you are on a secure site if you see a padlock or key somewhere along the bottom status bar of your browser. If the lock is closed or if the key is not broken, you are dealing with a "secure site."
Another way is to determine if you are in a secure site is to look for the change from the normal "http:" to "https" at the beginning of the Internet Page address. The "s" indicates a secure connection.

A "cookie" is a small data file that serves as an identifier stored on your machine. We use cookies to make Suncoast Secure Mail work. For instance, when you are ready to purchase a service or you want to log in to your account, a cookie allows our site to "remember" you. You need to have the cookies active in your browser to use our Internet site.

If you have questions about our services, you need technical support or you have problems with your account and you need to reach us, please use our Contact-Us Internet page, and we will reply to you within 24 hrs. If we cannot help you by email, we will call you to the phone number provided to us when you created your account, or we will request that you provide us with a phone number by email. The phone number provided will be treated as stated above under the section "Phone calls from us". We can give you free support in English and Spanish to phone numbers in the US, Mexico, Canada and some places in Europe.

We may add, remove, modify or change sections or of this Privacy Policy at any time, with or without notice. These changes will become effective immediately after being posted unless we specify otherwise.
