Go Back
Open your Outlook Express program and select Tools / Accounts from the top menu, and then select the Mail tab.
You should see the screen below (you may have other accounts already configured).
After you click Add / Mail, you will see the screen below. Enter your name and click Next.
In this screen type your complete email address and click Next.
In this screen you select whether you want to connect to the server using the POP3 or IMAP protocol. Select IMAP
and enter the values for the IMAP incoming and SMTP outgoing mail servers as shown in the image and click Next.
Enter your account name (your full email address) and your password. Select to remember your password unless
you want to type it every time you receive or send email. Leave the Secure Password Authentication option (SPA) unselected and
click Next.
Finally click on Finish to create the entry in the Mail Accounts list.
Once you have finished with the steps above, click in the Properties button of the just created account.
Under the General tab, enter the name under which you identify this account (Suncoastsecure), your name, your organization
(Optional) and your full email address. If you want your contacts to reply to your messages to an email other than your Suncoast
Secure Mail Account, please enter the alternate email in the Reply Address box (Not recommended).
Under the Servers Tab, select My server requires authentication and click in Settings
In this screen you can both select to use the same setting as the incoming mail server, or select Log on using, and enter your
full email account and your password again. Leave the option to use Secure Password Authentication (SPA) unselected. When you complete
your changes, select OK.
Under the Advanced tab, please make sure the SMTP port indicates 25, the IMAP port indicates 143, and the SSL options are unselected.
Under the IMAP tab, make sure the values here are entered exactly as shown in the image.
IMPORTANT: The values in this screen are case sensitive.
Finally, select OK, and close the accounts configuration screen, and proceed to test your configuration by sending and receiving a test email to and from
an alternate email account.
